Nomenclature
SUMMARY
Worker - The color is pale yellow, paler in the gaster, antennae and legs; the joints of these, the sides of clypeus and mandibles are reddish-brown. At the base of the 3rd tergite, in the middle, there are two longitudinal dashes, divergent forward, brown that sometimes can also be reduced to two small points, but which in one shape or another are constantly present. Pilosity fawn colored, fine and abundant in the body, poorer and a little shorter in the legs and antennae. Pubescence adherent almost nowhere. All the insect has the seed coat shiny and apart from small points where there is pubescence, all free of any sculpture, even when looking at a high magnification.
Head elongated shape subrectangular, with sides slightly arrotondati, wider front and back and slightly sunken in the occipital area. Labial and maxillary palps of two segments, the first a little longer than the seconds. The mandibles are strongly convex, shiny, with some big point here and there on the surface and with some subtle streaks at the base of the outer margin; the masticatory border is provided with several small teeth (6-7), which is followed by a tooth more robust than the apical one. Clypeus with straight front margin and the middle portion, including the limited space from the proximal end of the upper lip, armed with six small productions spines.
